In Case You Forgot…
Yikes! With the holiday and so many exciting things going on, there were no posts last week. Now vowing to catch you up on more marketing and public relations topics, I can’t help but to take my experience from the past few days and share a little with you.
Over the weekend I was able to get a taste of New York in Orlando via the Waldorf Astoria at Bonnet Creek. It was Park Avenue, meets Florida living. The perfect location for a name known for luxurious surroundings and great service (I’ll share on this service later). As much as I tried to not think of marketing and just relax the brain from work, I couldn’t help but to notice the extensive branding efforts throughout my room.
It was as if the hotel chain said, “in case you fall asleep and forgot where you were at, please know you are at the Waldorf Astoria.” Whether a guest is in the seating area or the bathroom, one could never forget where they were staying. With over 20 items marked with the famous logo, it was obvious their marketing department had not neglected a thing.
What one would think overkill, I would say it was a good way to directly relate the message of luxury to the Waldorf brand at every opportunity.

These were just a few shots of some of the in-room items. As you move from room to room and consider the plush environment, you can’t help but to appreciate Waldorf Astoria. (Personally the Westin and Hyatt have always been favorites, but I can’t recall the toilet paper being branded…)

Oh and if you’re wondering, I do recommend going there. Their staff is phenomenal and the opportunities to enjoy the hotel itself are endless.
