Top 10 Social Media Posts for 2012
There are more and more consultants targeting businesses to contract out their social media services. Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve noticed a large number of these “social media” marketing companies violating terms of use for Facebook and Twitter. Of course to those who do not know some of the basics, you could find yourself paying a “consultant” to have your account deactivated or suspended.
It’s important you work with someone knowledgeable in the field. But how can you know if the person you’re speaking to is up-to-date on the rules? To have some comfort with the company you are working with, you will need to know a few things yourself.
Over 2012, I’ve shared some important information to help business owners and non-profit leaders get a handle on social media as well as staying out of trouble. Feel free to visit what I believe are the top 10 posts on the topic as well as the Infographic below to keep in your arsenal.

The companies I work for tend to underestimate the use of social media. It’s good to see an article or blog post that sums up social media and states what an important part it can play in reaching markets you could never reach before.
Reblogged this on InfoJunkie and commented:
Everyone I know have either used or is currently using at least one form of social media. Most people I know are using multiple social media platforms. It’s good to see an article that sums up the impact social media can have an on your business. When used correctly, it can truly enhance your businesses bottomline.
Thank you for reading and reposting the blog! It’s amazing how people do not believe it is officially a part of marketing now. However, everyone will have to come around or evolve eventually. Thanks again for reading!
Ebony, I am constantly impressed by your comprehensive information and the way you “get it” when it comes to social media and small business. I have shared this with my other social media including pinning to Pinterest! Thanks for being such a reliable source….you are my “go to” SM person for sure.

You’re most welcome! It was an excellent post. I do believe everyone will come around eventually. It’s the new kid on the block and everyone just has to get used to it. Have a great evening!
