Facebook Graph Search: A Tool for Everyone

Now that I’ve had some time to play with Facebook‘s Graph Search feature I can say it really is a tool for everyone. People who use the social media site for pleasure and those for business will find some use with it.

First off, be prepared for the Facebook header to “flip-flop”.

Secondly, for you business owners, it’s time to focus on your pictures, friending like-minded people and how to connect with them to help generate leads.

Maybe you want to decide to cater a lunch and know if a favorite spot is liked by your friends in the area.

Regardless of your search that can contain pictures or list places, please take some time to review all of your thousands of pictures. You’ll be surprised what will come up if someone types in a request to see ALL of the photos you’re in. So those pictures of you dancing on a bar with one leg up and a cup in your hand from 5 years ago, may need to be re-evaluated to see if your friends (or the public depending on the picture’s privacy setting) really needs to see that picture now.

Facebook Graph Search take personal data and groups it on you and your friends. Beware of stalker-like, I mean research loving friends. Above Promotions Company. Tampa, FL 2013.

Also, you’ll want to make sure your personal family and love relationship is secure. In other words, very little will be a secret that is shared on Facebook. Yes, we share information on Facebook, but is it really necessary for this type of information to be grouped together? This takes knowing all about your Facebook friends to the next level.

Take a moment to consider how you use social media now and in the future.

Based on these images for those of you not in the beta-test mode of Facebook’s new Graph Search feature. Are you excited or scared or both?

Please leave your thoughts and comments below. They may be used in the future for another article.
